Then again, I'm from a punk background, so that might have something to do with my preference for Duff's accounts. I did enjoy Slash's quite a bit (finishing his and wanting more was the reason I picked up Duff's), but I think Duff's was more "honest." I guess his DIY punk ethics carried into his writing as well. It was neat that he went a little further into his post G&R work, especially the anecdotes of working with Velvet Revolver and Scott Weiland. I can't say I was let down by the end of Duff's book, I mean, he isn't dead yet, so I kind of expected it to just kind of drift out.
he had a ghost writer and it was still a mess.
I assumed that would be the case with Adler's book, judging from the other two.
